Of course our kids are our calling but I find myself so flummoxed when someone says something like that to me because how in the world can I disciple my kids without showing them how to share Christ with others by actively DOING it. I think one of Satan's biggest lies to young moms today is that they have to compartmentalize being called to their family and being called to ministry. Ministry WITH your family is one of the most beautiful things in the world!Kellihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16050745605541035282noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8534994551990168596.post-31878662147549364522014-05-11T17:18:00.566-04:002014-05-11T17:18:00.566-04:00Testing Testing Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14062747850787200605noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8534994551990168596.post-1848785073944486402014-05-05T06:00:01.556-04:002014-05-05T06:00:01.556-04:00Find your balance sweet niece, you are doing great...Find your balance sweet niece, you are doing great! I believe that at THIS stage in my life, my family IS my ONLY calling. These young years are the time to establish our Children's beliefs. If we don't do it, no one will. And i know people who have given too much to serving others while their children were young and now their children's faith suffers. John and I prayed about the timing of our third child. We prayed on whether we should commit more time to the church, or hold off for a few years and focus on our family. We were surprised when I found out I was pregnant. That was our sign from God that right now our calling is our family. Of course we still show love. Of course we still serve when we can involve our children and teach them as well. But our main calling is our family and we will not take on other church responsibilities right now. But I look forward to your future posts. I like to read how our faith differs. Thank you for this post.Rachel and Johnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09979144585636076433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8534994551990168596.post-38237516568509200092014-04-28T15:54:14.327-04:002014-04-28T15:54:14.327-04:00WOW! That is awful to say you basically don't have time to share Christ or to undermind your calling or how you are with your family.Emily Powellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16926813451962663598noreply@blogger.com
