Busy, Busy!

I spent the day today with my friend, Katie, in what we dubbed as "Brittney and Katie's Extravaganza."

We called it that for about 15 seconds and then we moved on.

We headed out to a shopping district to look for a few last minute items for our shipping crate (which we load and ship off on Monday!)

We found a beautiful rug and a mirror for my {future} bedroom in the Middle East.

And we found a gorgeous turquoise vase to sit a top a dresser that we just had refinished- black with silver knobs, with black matted picture frames for above. So chic.

Then we set out on the perilous task of jeans shopping.

UGGGGGG.

I hate jean shopping.

With a passion.

Can I get an amen?

After 4 stores, 2 malls, and 21 pairs later, I gave up.

I'm just so picky about how long the zipper is, how big the back pockets are, where the pockets are positioned, etc.

We came back home, got cleaned up, and headed out to dinner with Ian, his bff Sam, and Katie's boyfriend, Mike, at the delicious barbecue joint that is known as Sonny's.

Pulled Chicken, baked beans, and sweet tea graced my table.

It was divine.

My friend Jessica joined us, we loaded all up into one car, and trekked to downtown Orlando to one of our favorite city places....SAK comedy club!

It's an improv comedy club (where Wayne Brady got his start) that runs much like the show "Whose Line is it Anyway."

It's a real riot. {I had the strong desire to say "it was a real gas." but who says that anyways?}

Tomorrow continues with the busyness, with church with Sam in the morning, a Middle Eastern lunch with family friends, family pictures down at Park Avenue, family dinner at a steakhouse, and a speaking engagement at our church at night!

I feel like time is just flying by, and I can't believe we now have LESS than a week left in Florida!

Must. stock. up. on. sunshine!

Pictures to come. For now, sweet sleep.

I hate jeans shopping too. It usually ends with me on the verge of tears and no jeans!

Wow, you have been busy! I also hate jeans shopping...I'm so short and can NEVER find a pair that fits just right. Oh well.

My parents lived in Gainesville for two years when they were first married, and they STILL go on and on about how much they LOVED Sonny's. They took us there once on vacation, and I do remember it being delicious :-)

:) Enjoy fl. I'm so glad its warmed up! I hope its not raining there today. It's been rainy and gloomy all weekend in g-ville! I might check out the church you suggested next Sunday. I like my new church, but its not as "homey" as i'd like. :) If i do i'll let you know what i think!

Enjoy your family and friends!

Ugh, jean shopping is horrible!! A lot of times I'll decide a pair is "good enough" and then I'll wear them once and hate them and never wear them again, boo!!

PS I've been meaning to ask you for awhile, but why are you guys moving to the Middle East?

Jean shopping IS rough! And how exciting that a new big change is so quickly coming.

I COMPLETELY agree with you on the jean shopping -- UGH! I found a pair that I liked, but I didn't like the back pockets...but I bought them anyway because I couldn't find anything else. Grrr.
