{The One Where We Tell You the Gender}

I have two things to share with you today.

One is very important, and revolves around our ultrasound yesterday.

The other, is not so important. You might even call it trivial.

Let's start with the trivial, shall we?

First, today I learned that the Caesar salad was invented in Mexico. Seriously. Blows your mind a little bit, doesn't it?

How did I not know this before? And why don't we pair it with Mexican food now? SO many questions.

Second, well, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves:

That's Right! Baby Galloway is officially Baby "Girl," Galloway!

It's official as official can be, we're sure!

We got the money shot, trust me.

I'll spare you and {future} her posting that.

Ian and I are in a little bit of shock. Even though we told everyone we didn't know what it was, I think in our heads we had both decided it was a boy. So when the ultrasound tech whispered "It's a girl!" I thought they were going to have to whip out some surgical equipment to secure my jaw back on my face.

I had just told Ian before the ultrasound that although I thought it was a boy, all of my experience is working with little girls. And how special it is to have a little girl. They seem to stay more dependent and are more "loving," than boys (though little boys have their benefits too!) I told Ian it would be so sweet to have a little girl who would run to him yelling "daddy's home!" every time he walked in the door, just like I did with my Daddy!

We spent the day in a bigger city eating Subway, going to an import store (more on that another day,) and searching fora baby girl outfit. It was very difficult, and I about had a meltdown when I couldn't find the right thing. Finally, we found something that seemed "girlie," and "babylike," (I don't like dressing babies like grown ups. Or big kids.) and it was pink. Perfect.

We are now in discussions for getting baby girl Galloway a name. So, hopefully we'll know what to call her soon!

We're so so SO excited and so blessed to have a little girl!

Wonderful news!! I'm excited for you all. My only reason to sign onto the computer tonight was to see if you had revealed the gender--because your last post said you would on Thursday!

:)

I'm sure she will be a perfect beautiful precious baby.
